Coventry is a city of culture where people from all around the world go with a purpose - whether to study, work or other reasons. It is a place which embraces a variety of nationalities and has a multicultural aura.

 

“Coventry – a city of culture” is a reflection of the people who live in Coventry. Denisa Dimitrova photographed students who are part of Coventry University and who she found interesting in terms of outfits. Some of them she already knew and asked to participate in the project, others she met at an international event organised by the university and third she approached via social media. The aim is to show the diversity of nationalities and personalities in the city.

 

Colour, movement and emotions are the main elements that form the dynamic look of the body of work. To connect the audience with the photographed people, Denisa interviewed the models about their passions, their style of dressing and also their attitude towards fashion.

 

Adding herself in the project, Denisa demonstrates that she is part of Coventry’s community, too.
